When do selling rights apply?

Naturally, we want customers who buy through bol.com to continue to do so - and so it is important to offer them a reliable and safe range together. Therefore, additional sales conditions apply to certain product groups and in some cases, there is a brand policy for selective distribution. Medical aids Netherlands

Did you already sell medical aids before 1 March 2024? If so, you received temporary selling rights as of 1 March 2024. You retain these by applying for selling rights, agreeing to the additional conditions of selling rights. This also requires the submission of documents to ensure the reliability of the range.

Your selling rights expire depending on how long you have been a seller at bol. For every year that you are active on bol, you get 1 month to apply for selling rights, with a maximum of 6 months. Selling rights can be applied for from 1 March 2024.

Applying for selling rights for medical aids in the Netherlands

Do you want to offer medical aids on the Dutch market via bol? Then it is compulsory to have selling rights for your seller account(s) from 1 March 2024.

A medical device is a health item that differs from a medicine by its function. The function of a medical device is physical – think, for example, of a plaster, a condom, a prosthesis, a scanner or an external defibrillator.

To get selling rights for medical aids, you need to meet a number of requirements:

Make sure that all your medical aids are appropriately labelled and documented. That is:

  1. Every medical device must have a CE mark on the packaging;
  2. Every medical device has a Declaration of Conformity in which the manufacturer/importer declares that the item has been found safe by a notified body;
  3. Does your item not have a CE mark and/or Declaration of Conformity? Then the item is not suitable for sale on our platform.

How to apply for selling rights:

  1. Clean up your assortment before applying by removing non-compliant items from your offer yourself.
  2. Send the information below (completed) as a request for selling rights to healthassortment@bol.com. We will get back to you as soon as possible.

    D. Seller e-mail address
    E. Are you applying for sales rights for 1 or more accounts? Please fill in information A to D for each account.
    F. ‘Yes, I agree to the Additional Terms and Conditions‘ If you send an application to the above e-mail address, you agree to the terms and conditions and declare that you have filled in the above information truthfully and that the information provided is correct.
  3. We will select 10 items from your offer for a sample.
  4. These 10 items will be sent to you by e-mail in response to your request.
  5. You send us a photo of the CE marking and a valid declaration of conformity for these 10 items.
  6. We check the CE marking and the declaration of conformity. Do they meet the requirements? Then you will receive selling rights for medical aids in the Netherlands. If the CE marking and/or conformity declaration do not meet the requirements, we cannot grant selling rights. This is why cleaning up your product range is important. You will be informed by e-mail about the outcome of your application.

Once you have received selling rights, medical aids may be offered. The selling rights are checked periodically. Please ensure that you can provide CE documents for all your medical aids at all times.
