The Retailer API
The bol Retailer API regularly adds new features, removes outdated functionalities, and improves existing ones. This continuously enhances user-friendliness, allowing you to work even more efficiently from a single selling channel!
'The Retailer API lifecycle describes the rhythm in which new versions are introduced and older versions are removed.'
For the Retailer API, this means that a new version of the API is available twice a year, at fixed times: April 1st and October 1st. The goal is to share the new features and improvements in these new versions well in advance.
The planning for the next two years is as follows:
- Retailer API version 7
Official version available: April 1, 2022
Usable until: May 1, 2024 (we will support v7 for longer) - Retailer API version 8
Official version available: October 1, 2022
Usable until: May 1, 2024 - Retailer API version 9
Official version available: April 1, 2023
Usable until: November 1, 2024 - Retailer API version 10
Official version available: October 1, 2023
Usable until: May 1, 2025
As soon as a new version is available, a migration guide will be shared. It is not necessary to switch immediately. However, it is important that you have migrated to the new version before the older version is discontinued. Based on the schedule above, this means, for example, that if you are a version 8 user, you must have migrated to version 9 or 10 before May 1, 2024. Otherwise, you will not be able to continue working with the API. It is smart to plan the migration well in advance, together with those who will implement it for you. This way, your sales processes can continue without interruption.
