Changes to the Refurbished policy

Sell refurbished items via bol like a phone

Selling Refurbished items via bol: what's changing for you?

Since the beginning of 2025, partners have been able to offer Refurbished items via bol. After a great start-up phase, we are ready for the next step: we are leaving the pilot phase and expanding the program further. This means there are some policy updates that apply to you as a partner. Read below what is changing and what you can do.

Changes to the Refurbished policy
  • There is no longer a limit for partners and/or product categories.
  • We are adjusting our conditions. Instead of sales potential, we will now look at whether you are a proven market player. This way, we ensure a strong Refurbished offer on bol together. Do you already have Refurbished selling rights? Then you don't need to do anything.
  • Purchasing from outside the EU is no longer permitted to offer items as Refurbished.

Brand Authorization

If you want to sell certain Refurbished brands (e.g., Apple, Samsung), you need 'brand authorization'. This ensures that our offer remains fair and reliable.

You must apply for brand authorization. Once you provide the correct proof, you may offer these brands. This applies to the following brands:

  • Apple
  • Edifier
  • Fresh’n Rebel
  • Jabra
  • LG
  • Microsoft
  • Nintendo
  • Philips
  • Samsung
  • Sennheiser
  • Sony
  • Sony Playstation
  • TCL

What exactly needs to be submitted for these brands is explained here.

What should I do?

Until July 31, 2026, you can sell Refurbished items on bol under the current expiring conditions.

Before then, we ask the following of you:
