Do you work with multiple brands, business units, or budget holders within one advertising account? Then you know that managing budgets and invoices can sometimes be complicated, especially when different teams or departments work with their own budgets and invoice numbers.
That's why, starting mid-August, we're introducing Portfolio Budgets. This new feature allows you to manage your budget in a way that better suits your organization's structure.
What are Portfolio Budgets?
With this new feature, you manage your advertising budgets exactly as your organization is set up: flexibly and transparently. You link campaigns to a specific budget and manage these budgets alongside each other. This means you no longer need to create extra accounts to keep budgets separate.
With Portfolio Budgets, you can:
- distribute campaigns across different budgets, for example, per brand, department, or budget owner;
- manage multiple budgets simultaneously within one account;
- use a separate Purchase Order (PO) number for each budget;
- better align invoicing with internal purchasing and finance processes.
More control over your campaigns
Campaigns are linked to a specific portfolio budget. Once a portfolio's budget is reached, only the campaigns linked to that budget will pause. Other portfolios remain active. This way, you maintain control over your budget allocation without manual workarounds.
Who is this for?
Portfolio Budgets are specifically developed for complex organizations and media agencies that manage multiple brands, categories, or business units within one account. If you are already comfortable working with one general budget, you don't need to change anything. The regular account budget remains the best choice for organizations that don't need extra budget structures.
