Support with compliance issues

Find the right expert for your legislation and regulation questions.
In recent years, many new European and local rules have been introduced for you as a partner. As a result, it can sometimes be difficult to keep an overview. You also might not always have the time or in-house knowledge to figure out complex legislation yourself. Our network of compliance service providers supports you with these kinds of challenges.
What is compliance?
Compliance is about adhering to all legal, tax, product-related, and platform-specific rules. These are necessary to sell items safely, legally, and successfully online. From the European Union, customers are increasingly protected against safety and health risks. This means that information and communication must be correct and clear. Depending on the topic, enforcement takes place per country, or shopping platforms such as bol are asked to enforce rules.
At which levels does compliance play a role?
Compliance issues play out at various levels. For instance, an item sometimes needs the correct legal labels or markings, such as a CE label or an energy label. Or it must contain the right information, for example about the responsible economic operator or manufacturer. In addition, there are compliance issues at the company level, such as applying for a VAT number or rules regarding import, export, and intra-community trade. Finally, there may be bol-specific requirements for selling items, such as brand protection or legal/illegal product range.
How does it work?
Do you need help? Then contact a service provider from our network directly yourself. Together, you decide on the best approach: sometimes the service provider gives advice, sometimes they take (part of) the work off your hands. This saves you time so you can focus on your growth via bol.
Please note:
Services are purchased directly from the certified partner. Bol receives no fee for this. The choice for a certified partner lies entirely with you as an entrepreneur. Bol cannot guarantee the quality or accuracy of the advice provided by this certified partner. As an entrepreneur, you are at all times personally responsible for ensuring that the items you offer comply with all relevant (EU) laws and regulations.
