Content

Do you want to create product pages that get found and convince? We'll help you on your way with the 5 building blocks of good content.

Title

With the right title, you can achieve up to 20% more conversion. Here is how to build it:

  • Brand, product group, and relevant characteristics or search terms.
  • Between 30 and 150 characters, only Dutch words.
  • No caps lock and "-" as the only hyphen.

Images and videos

This is the first thing that catches the customer's attention. Keep these points in mind:

  • Your main image is white, sharp, and without overlay, featuring only the item.
  • Preferably 1500x1500 pixels.
  • Additional supporting images: other angles and positions, details, and dimensions on a sketch.
  • Add atmospheric images and videos where they add value.

Item description

Make sure your item description matches the target group you want to attract and the item itself.

  • At least 500 characters.
  • The first 120 characters are used for Google Shopping, so put the most important information there.
  • Include words from your title in the text.
  • Use headings, bullet points, and bold words to keep the text scannable.
  • Usage context helps the customer choose.

Item specifications

With the right item specifications, you increase the findability of your item via bol.

  • In addition to the mandatory attributes, you can also fill in the supplementary ones.
  • This takes your item from offline to online to complete.
  • Prevent customer questions afterwards with well-filled attributes.
  • Get found in the filters on the list page.

Product families

Achieve an average sales increase of up to 10% when you bundle variants. This allows a customer to compare and choose faster.

The benefits of product families are:

  • Customer-friendly pages.
  • You can benefit from the page ranking within the product family.
  • Reviews and views are combined.
  • Choosing becomes easier for the customer.
