On this page, you will read more about your rating, how it is generated from all customer reviews, how to view it and how you can influence it.

Together, we strive to improve our customers’ daily lives. One way to measure their satisfaction is through their ratings – which is why these are so important within your performance score.

Customer reviews help ensure the quality of bol as a shopping platform and the satisfaction of our collective customers. 3 to 18 days after the expected delivery date of an order, we therefore send the customer a review request. We only sent it to customers who have indicated in their purchase account that they would like to give reviews. We also check that the customer has not yet received any other (commercial) e-mail from us on the day they are eligible for your review request.

To be successful in business via bol, good customer reviews are very important. A good review means an average rating of 8 or higher, since that indicates a truly satisfied customer.

You will find your average rating in your seller dashboard, in the ‘Prestaties’ tab. You can also find tips to maintain or improve your rating on this page.

Assessment form

In the assessment form, a customer is asked the following questions:

  • What grade would you give (partner name)?
  • What went well, or What could be better (optional)?
  • Does the item meet the product description?
  • Did you get the item according to the stated delivery time?
  • What did you think of the state in which the item was delivered?
  • Did you have contact with the seller (partner name)? If ‘yes’: How was the contact with the seller?

The visibility of your assessment grade

Your personal shop page shows your average review ratings over the past 3 months. Have you had fewer than 5 reviews in that period? Then you will see the average of the total number of reviews received since you started selling on bol.

Your rating can also be found on the item page. Customers immediately see your rating in the buy box, as shown here:

When there are multiple sellers on 1 item and a customer wants to compare them, all the ratings are also shown, like so:

Gold label on good ratings

When customers are very satisfied with you, you can get a gold label. You recognise the golden label by the golden circle next to the ‘Algemeen ordeel’ (overall rating). This way, your score stands out even more.

The conditions for a gold label are:

  • Your average rating is a 9 or higher.
  • On the remaining points, you score an 8.5 or higher.
  • You receive more than 20 reviews per month.
  • You sell more than 50 items per month.

Note: Self-promotion is 1 of the categories of policy violations we monitor. It is not allowed to write a customer review about yourself, or to write product reviews for your own item(s).
