Selling rights

Naturally, we want customers who buy through bol.com to continue to do so - and so it is important to offer them a reliable and safe range together. Therefore, additional sales conditions apply to certain product groups and in some cases, there is a brand policy for selective distribution. Find out whether this also applies to your range on this page.

Electric scooters

Do you want to offer electric scooters (e-steps) on our platform? If so, you must demonstrate that the brand and its assortment comply with Dutch and Belgian laws and regulations and the bol.com guidelines. To determine whether the brand meets the bol.com guidelines and safety and quality requirements, we carry out a check.

Electric scooters should meet the following requirements:

CE marking guidelines:

  • The electric scooter. Directive 2006/42/EC (Machinery Directive); and
  • The power supply of the electric scooter: Directive 2014/35/EU (Low Voltage Directive) for making available on the market electrical equipment intended for use within certain voltage limits.

This means that the CE mark must be visible on the item and/or product packaging. Please consult our assortment policy for more information. Here you can find more information about CE marking and about the necessary Technical Documentation and EU Declaration of Conformity

Electric scooters with saddle need a registration in Belgium. To give our customers all the information they need, please mention this in your product description.
