Selling rights

Naturally, we want customers who buy through bol.com to continue to do so - and so it is important to offer them a reliable and safe range together. Therefore, additional sales conditions apply to certain product groups and in some cases, there is a brand policy for selective distribution. Find out whether this also applies to your range on this page.

Apple

From September 19, 2023, selling rights apply to the entire Apple range. Partners who currently offer the range but do not yet have selling rights will be subject to a sale period for existing stock. We calculate the sale period as follows: 1 month is added to your sale period for each year that you’ve been active on the relevant sales account. Do you want to continue selling the range after this sale period? Please request selling rights via the link below.

Are you:

  • An Apple and/or Samsung premium reseller?
Then you can offer your product range via bol.com, after providing us with the necessary information to verify you are a premium reseller.
  • Not an Apple and/or Samsung premium reseller?
Then an assessment process is required in which you can demonstrate that your product range is authentic. For this, you need to send purchase invoices, for example.

Samsung

From 9 January 2024, selling rights have been extended for Samsung’s extended range. Partners who currently offer the extended range but do not yet have selling rights will be subject to a sell-out period for existing stock. The sell-out period is 1 month per year that the partner is active on the specific sales account. This applies to the following product groups, as we want to guarantee the product authenticity of these for the sake of security for our customers:

  • Chargers for mobile phone, tablet, smartwatch or activity tracker
  • Batteries for mobile phone, tablet or laptop
  • Mobile phone and tablet cables
  • Power adapters for Apple laptops
  • In-ear headphones
  • Phone cases
  • Televisions (TV)
  • Tablets (as of 09-01-2024)
  • Smartwatches (as of 09-01-2024)
  • Activity trackers (from 09-01-2024)
  • Smartphones (from 09-01-2024)

(In-ear) headphones

It is possible to offer in-ear headphones from the brand list below. Do you want to offer headphones from another brand? Then you have to be able to show that the brand and the associated range comply with Dutch and/or Belgian legislation and regulations and the bol.com guidelines.

1. Do you want to sell headphones from the following brands: Edifier, Sony, Fresh n Rebel, Jabra or Sennheiser?

This is only possible if you can demonstrate that your assortment was obtained through an official distribution channel of the brand in question. If this is the case, please request selling rights using the following form.

2. Is the brand you want to sell in the list of approved brands below?

You do not need any selling rights to sell this brand. Please note, the brands mentioned in the list below and also included in the above list of A-brands can only be added if you have applied for sales rights for that specific A-brand.

3. Is the brand you want to sell not mentioned on this page?

If your branded item meets the requirements below, you can apply for brand authorization using the following form.

  • The brand is registered with BOIP  (or EUIPO/WIPO).
  • Your registration is valid in the Netherlands and Belgium.
  • The brand is registered in the correct product class. Your brand must be registered for a product class lower than 35. Product classes 35 to 45 are only valid for services and therefore not for goods.
  • The article must also be registered in this class with the correct goods.
  • Items must be provided with an official GS1 EAN.
  • Your brand must meet the above points from the moment the item is added to bol.com.

Enter the brand name in the brand field when entering the product information. Do this in text, even if you have only registered your brand as a figurative mark.

The use of a brand name not registered in BOIP on an article is not permitted. No rights can be derived from this.

Harman Kardon and JBL

Since January 10, 2022, you need special selling rights for Harman Kardon and JBL electronics. These brands can only be offered by selective distributors.

Are you not yet a selective distributor, but do you want to become one? Please contact Harman Kardon via the contact form below. Indicate that this concerns selective distribution at bol.com. Harman Kardon will respond to your message within 5 working days.

Sonos

Sonos, the brand, may only be offered by selective distributors. With selective distribution, the brand holder, in this case Sonos, applies objective criteria that all distributors must meet. Partners who are not selective distributors will have their Sonos offer taken offline.

Television

Do you want to sell televisions from one of the brands below?

  • Samsung
  • Sony
  • LG
  • TCL
  • Phillips

This is only possible if you can demonstrate that your range was obtained through an official distribution channel of the brand in question. If this is the case, please request sales privileges using the following form.
