5 tips before you start
- Choose an automatic campaign
For a successful campaign, the foundation must be solid. Are you new to sponsored products and want to leave the work to the algorithm? Then choose an automatic campaign. You only need to enter the items, your daily budget, and the target ACoS (Advertising Cost of Sale) (see Tip 5). The system does the rest. - Give your campaign time
It is important to give your campaign enough time before you start to improve it. Let your campaign run for at least two weeks, or wait until each item or keyword has generated about 80 to 100 clicks. Only then will you have enough data to implement your first improvements. After that, let your campaign run for at least another two weeks so that the improvements can take effect. - Invest time in your campaigns and check them regularly
Managing campaigns requires time and energy. Check your ongoing campaigns weekly and invest at least 1.5 hours per week in monitoring. This helps you know when to adjust to achieve better results. - Set a (generous) daily budget
When creating a campaign, you set a budget per day. If your budget runs out? Then your campaign automatically pauses and resumes as soon as a new budget is available. Choose a daily budget so you always know your maximum daily costs and maintain control over your campaigns. A generous daily budget ensures your ads remain visible throughout the day. - Calculate your desired ACoS
Determine your ideal ACoS, depending on your goals, profit margins, and other costs. Use our handy ACoS calculator. Suppose your profit margin is 20%, then your ACoS must be lower than 20%. Otherwise, your advertising costs will eat into your profit.
