Which delivery promise do you choose?
To help you as best as possible, you can choose from different services within Shipping via bol. This way, there's always an option that suits you. The main difference lies in the delivery promise. What do you want to promise your customer about parcel delivery? And do you drop off your parcels yourself, or do you have them picked up?
With Shipping via bol, you can choose from 2 variants: Shipping via bol Standard and Shipping via bol Complete. We have listed the different options and their possibilities for you. Please note: these are the regular delivery promises, but sometimes they may differ due to busy periods. View current delivery times.
*Pickup time 17:00 is not yet available nationwide. In the seller account, you can see if you can use this option.
** A different delivery promise may apply to Belgium and the Wadden Islands.
When can you use Shipping via bol Standard?
- Your company is located in the Netherlands
Shipping via bol is available to all partners located in the Netherlands. You can send your orders to both the Netherlands and Belgium. Is your company located in Belgium? Unfortunately, you cannot yet use Shipping via bol.
- You are a bol partner and work via the seller account or the Retailer API
Shipping via bol is only available if you sell items via bol. This service is fully available via the seller account.- Do you work via our Retailer API? Visit this page for all information about automation and Shipping via bol.
- Do you work with one or more intermediaries? Then these intermediaries must also support Shipping via bol. Therefore, you may not be able to start with Shipping via bol immediately.
- Not a partner yet? Then first sign up for selling via bol.
- You work at least from Monday to Friday (Saturday is optional)
For Shipping via bol, we ask you to accept orders at least from Monday to Friday; Saturday is optional. On weekdays, we expect you to accept orders until at least 3:00 PM and process them the same day, but until 5:00 PM or 6:00 PM is also possible. Please note: this is the time a customer can order an item from you and still receive it the next day. - Your items fit within the maximum packaging dimensions
With Shipping via bol, you can send items that fit within the maximum packaging dimensions of the carriers. Items that fall outside these dimensions cannot be sent via Shipping via bol. You are responsible for shipping these items yourself.
Shipping via bol with collection service
Shipping via bol at its easiest? That's Shipping via bol with our collection service! We pick up your parcels and then ensure they go with the carrier. This saves you extra (heavy) work, leaving you more time to grow.
When can you use Shipping via bol with collection service?
The conditions for using Shipping via bol are on this page. Additionally, supplementary conditions for Shipping via bol with collection service are that:
- you are present during the agreed collection window to hand over the orders to the carrier.
- your collection location is easily accessible for the carrier via a paved road.
Sign up for Shipping via bol with collection service?
Go to your seller account to sign up directly via the form. In the registration form, you then choose your desired service. Do you want to sign up for Shipping via bol Complete, but you don't see this option? Then it is unfortunately not yet available in your region.
Shipping via bol with self drop off
If you use Shipping via bol with self drop off, your product range is in your own warehouse, and you are responsible for processing orders. You take your parcels daily to a drop off point, and then the delivery service delivers the parcel to your customer.
With Shipping via bol with self drop off, you can also choose between Shipping via bol Standard and Shipping via bol Complete. What do your delivery promise and drop off times look like then? See the overview below.
*At regular drop off points, the delivery promise is 'Ordered today, delivered in 1 or 2 days.'
If you drop off items at a drop off point, the carrier delivers your parcels the next day to the customer. Is there no 'Snel Bezorgd' (Fast Delivery) point near you yet? Then you can simply drop off your parcels at a regular PostNL or DHL point, and you will have the delivery promise 'Ordered today, delivered in 1 or 2 days.'
Tip!
Drop off your parcels at a service point where an employee scans them immediately. This does not happen at parcel lockers, which can cause delays in your shipment — even if you dropped it off on time. For the most certainty: choose direct scanning at a service point.
