Give your campaign time

Allow for an attribution period of 14 days between click and conversion. So, don't make hasty adjustments if you see little result after 2 days.

1. Start with a smart targeting strategy

If your campaign is already performing well and you want more control over individual targeting methods, create separate campaigns for categories and keywords for maximum control over search volumes and bidding strategies.

Here's how to get your campaign off to a flying start:

  • Add impression share to your campaign overview to see where there is room for more visibility.
  • Analyze which keywords perform well according to your conditions and which do not.
  • Consider broader targeting or more generic keywords to generate extra reach.
  • Use the search trends tool and your Sponsored Products campaigns for new keyword ideas.
  • Respond to seasonal keywords, such as 'Christmas gift woman' or 'Sinterklaas toy'.

Tip

Consider a separate campaign for branded keywords to effectively manage competition.

3. Make your Branded Shelves visually appealing

Visual tips:

  • Ensure consistency with your brand style: colors, tone of voice, and item photos.
  • Add a logo only in the top right corner (max. 24px from top and right, max. 44px high).
  • Avoid bol-blue in banners; choose complementary colors that stand out.
  • Use catchy titles and USPs:
    • ❌ Not: “Phone cases”
    • ✅ Yes: “Protect your smartphone in style – discover our collection”
  • Add atmospheric lifestyle images that match the season, such as warm lighting in winter or a festive setting. Make sure there is no text in the image.
