Performance score

Your performance score is a component for the buy box calculation. Therefore, it is important to keep a close eye on it. In your seller account, you can see what your performance scores are, so you have insight into where opportunities still lie for you.

The performance score is calculated based on the scores of the service standards below. The better your performance score, the higher your chance of getting the buy box. You can find your current performance score in your seller account on the 'Performance' page. Here, in addition to your current score, you will also find your performance on the service standards that contribute to your performance score. This shows you directly where you can still make improvements.

The performance score consists of the following service standards:

  • Items on time
  • Cancellations
  • Track & trace

The scores from the last 6 final weeks for these service standards are included in the performance score. In your seller account, you can see which specific weeks these are. The score is recalculated every Wednesday.

Performance score calculation depends on shipping method

There are 3 different performance scores that are calculated separately:

  • The performance score for your own shipments
  • The performance score for shipments sent with ‘Logistics via bol
  • The performance score for shipments sent with ‘Shipping via bol

Depending on your offer, one of the 3 scores is used for the buy box calculation. If you do not use Logistics via bol or 'Shipping via bol', it will not be shown in your seller account.

Performance score for Logistics via bol

If you use Logistics via bol, a separate performance score applies to the offer you send with Logistics via bol. If this applies to you, you will see this score on the ‘Performance’ page in your seller account, below your own score.

The score for ‘Items on time’, ‘Cancellations’, and ‘Track & trace’ will be the same for all Logistics via bol orders. Therefore, it is assessed how all Logistics via bol orders collectively perform on these three scores. The Logistics via bol scores are the same for all partners.

Performance score for Shipping via bol

Shipping via bol orders are also assessed based on the 3 service standards: ‘Items on time’, ‘Cancellations’, and ‘Track & Trace’.

The score for "Cancellations" is calculated individually per partner, just as it is for your own shipments. The score for ‘Items on time and ‘Track & trace’ will be the same for all Shipping via bol orders. Therefore, it is assessed how all Shipping via bol orders collectively perform on these 2 scores.

Please note!

When you use Shipping via bol with self-drop-off, as a partner, you are responsible for the scan upon handover to the delivery service. If you choose to give your orders to your own pick-up service or to deliver them directly to a depot, this is at your own risk. Therefore, it is advised to drop off your orders at a collection point.

Performance score and the buy box

Not only your performance score influences the buy box. Price and delivery promise also play a role in this. For each item, you can make adjustments to your price and delivery promise to see what works best. It is important that you can fulfill the promise you make, otherwise it will have the opposite effect on your performance score and thus your chance of getting the buy box.

Customers appreciate being able to track their order. By adding a track & trace code, you improve your performance score and thus your chance of getting the buy box. For letter post, it is not mandatory to provide the shipment with a track & trace number, but it is desirable.

Tip!

An improvement on (1 of) the 3 service standards always has a positive effect on your performance score, and the higher your performance score, the higher your chance of getting a position in the buy box.
