Did you already sell medical aids before 1 March 2024? If so, you received temporary selling rights as of 1 March 2024. You retain these by applying for selling rights, agreeing to the additional conditions of selling rights. This also requires the submission of documents to ensure the reliability of the range.
Your selling rights expire depending on how long you have been a seller at bol. For every year that you are active on bol, you get 1 month to apply for selling rights, with a maximum of 6 months. Selling rights can be applied for from 1 March 2024.

Apply for selling rights for medical devices in the Netherlands
To obtain selling rights for medical aids, you must ensure that all your medical devices have the correct certification and documentation. This means:
- Every medical device must have a CE mark on its packaging;
- Every medical device must have a Declaration of Conformity in which the manufacturer/importer declares that the item has been deemed safe by a notified body;
- You ensure that you have the correct certification and documentation for each item;
If your item does not have a CE mark and/or Declaration of Conformity? Then the item is not suitable for selling via our platform.
Then, apply for selling rights by following these steps:
- Clean up your product range before applying by removing items from your offer that do not meet the above requirements;
- Send the following information (completed) as an application for selling rights to healthassortment@bol.com; (If you are applying for these rights for multiple accounts? Then repeat steps A through D for the other accounts.)

F. ‘Yes, I agree to the additional terms and conditions ‘Conditions of Use Professional Sales via bol’ for selling rights - We will select 10 items from your offer for a sample check;
- These 10 items will be sent to you by email in response to your application;
- You will send a photo of the CE mark and a valid Declaration of Conformity for these 10 items;*
- We will check the CE mark and the Declaration of Conformity;
- Do they meet the requirements? Then you will receive selling rights for medical devices in the Netherlands;
- Do they not meet the requirements? Then we cannot grant selling rights.
- You will be informed by email about the outcome of your application.
Once you have received selling rights, medical devices may be offered. Selling rights are checked periodically. Ensure that you can provide a Declaration of Conformity and CE documents for all your medical devices at all times.
