Selling rights

Naturally, we want customers who buy through bol.com to continue to do so - and so it is important to offer them a reliable and safe range together. Therefore, additional sales conditions apply to certain product groups and in some cases, there is a brand policy for selective distribution. Find out whether this also applies to your range on this page.

Gift cards

You can only offer brands of gift cards approved by bol.com. These brands:

  1. Are on the brand list of the gift card category (see below).
  2. Meet the review criteria.
  3. Meet the additional conditions.

Assessment criteria

In order to receive selling rights to sell gift cards through bol.com, you must meet the following criteria:

  • You are a brand owner (BOIP trademark register) or have written permission from the brand owner/supplier to sell the brand.
  • You have a valid Chamber of Commerce registration, which includes in its activities that the company is engaged in the production and/or purchase and sale of gift cards.

Additional conditions

Offering gift cards through the platform is subject to a number of strict conditions:

  • A maximum of 1 product type/theme gift card per brand is allowed, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
  • No digital gift cards are offered via the platform.
  • A maximum of 10 different values per gift card may be offered, unless otherwise agreed in writing with the gift card shop.
  • It is not permitted to use the service Advertising via bol.com in the gift card shop.
  • Delivery is handled by the sales partner itself. Delivery via ‘Logistics via bol.com’ is not possible for gift cards until further notice.
  • Additional (shipping) costs may not be included in the sales price of a gift card.
  • The provider takes care of and is responsible for verification upon delivery (such as ID check at the door).
  • Upon consent, we also offer the bol.com gift card through the online and/or offline channel of the relevant provider, if desired by both parties.
  • If you add an open-loop gift card on bol.com, you must comply with the Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing (Prevention) Act (Wwft) including the Know Your Customer (KYC) regulations. In this case, only gift cards with a maximum value of €150 may be offered via bol.com.
