1. Download the Excel file
In your seller dashboard, go to ‘Artikelen’ and choose ‘Aanbod beheren via Excel’ (adding multiple items via Excel). Below ‘Aanbod downloaden’ (download offer) you can download your existing offer by clicking ‘Downloaden’.
If you do not yet have offer online, the document is still empty, and you can use it as a template to fill your new offer.
2. Open the Excel file
Open the downloaded Excel file. The file contains two tabs. In the tab ‘bol.com artikelimport hulp v2.3’, you can edit your current offer or add new offer. In the ‘Uitleg’ (explanation) tab, you can read what we mean with the different columns.
3. Add your items
Add your offer in the tab ‘bol.com artikelimport hulp v2.3’.
You need to provide information in the following fields to make sure your offer will be online:
- EAN
The 13-digit of EAN or ISBN of your item. - Condition
The condition of your item is always new, unless you are selling second-hand items. This is only possible for media items. - Stock
The stock you have available (updates automatically when you sell an item via bol). - Price
The retail price at which you offer the item. - Fulfilment by
The delivery method of the item. The delivery can be done by the seller or through Logistiek via bol, the logistics service of bol. - Deliverycode
The delivery time of the item.
The following information is optional:
- Reference
Reference code for your own use. - Offer description
Stating the item’s condition. This only applies to second-hand items. - For sale
Here you can indicate whether you want to put the item up for sale. If you do not enter anything here, the item is automatically put up for sale. - Title
This title is saved for items that are not yet known to bol. This title makes it easier to create new items. We therefore recommend that you fill in this field if you suspect that you want to offer items that are not yet known to bol.
4. Upload the Excel file
Once you have entered all the data, save the Excel file in the correct file format (.xlsx).
Upload the file below ‘Upload jouw aanbod’ (upload your offer) using the button ‘Upload Excel bestand’ (upload Excel file).
The status of your most recent upload will appear under ‘Upload jouw aanbod’ within half an hour. Amongst other things, you will find here:
- The number of processed lines.
- The number of error messages.
- The number of created and adjusted items.
To update the status, click the refresh button.
5. Downloading feedback
Below ‘Feedback downloaden’ (download feedback), you can download a report of your last upload. This file only contains items that are not for sale and it indicates why not.
One reason could be ‘ISBN/EAN is ongeldig’ (ISBN/EAN is invalid), in which case we advise you to check if your EAN is registered and consists of 13 digits. Another reason could be ‘Je mag geen artikelen met deze delivery code verkopen’ (you are not allowed to sell items with this delivery code). In that case, check the completed delivery promise. This is because for Logistiek via bol (Logistics via bol), your item needs to meet certain conditions.
The offer that was successfully processed will soon be online and can be found in your seller dashboard below ‘Mijn artikelen’ (my items).
Add multiple items at once vs. Add multiple items via Excel
You can add your offer in bulk in the seller account in 2 ways. You can add multiple items via Excel (as discussed above) or by adding multiple items at once. What is the difference between these 2?
- Add multiple items via Excel: The file you upload overwrites your current offer. If you have 100 items online and you upload 100 items via ‘Aanbod beheren via Excel’ (, after the upload, only the 100 new items from your Excel upload will be online.
- Add multiple items at once: The file you upload adds your items to your existing range. If you already have 100 items online and you add 100 items via ‘Artikelen toevoegen in bulk’, you will then have 200 items online.
When do you use which option?
- Add multiple items via Excel is used for modifying your current range, such as adjusting the price, delivery promise or stock, and/or for removing items by removing them from your database.
- Add multiple items at once is used for adding new items (without overwriting your existing range).
