On this page, you can read how to (temporarily) close your seller account.

Temporarily close seller account

You can find your shop status in your account under ‘Settings’. Under ‘Shop status‘, you will find the option to temporarily close your seller account. Once you've set this up, your offer will be temporarily taken offline, preventing customers from placing new orders. Your items will not be removed from your seller account and will remain visible in ‘My offers’. This means no offer or content will be lost. Permanently close seller account

Do you want to stop selling via bol? Send an email to zakelijkverkopen@bol.com to have your seller account permanently closed. Our Partnerservice colleagues can then arrange the closure of your account. Please include the following information:

  1. Sales account number
  2. Login email address
  3. Bank account number
  4. Reason for closure

Alternatively, contact Partnerservice and state that you wish to close your seller account.

Tip!

It might be useful to first temporarily close your account due to ongoing orders and the 30-day return period.

Seller account closure by bol

It is possible for your account to be closed by bol. This can happen if you do not adhere to the service standards or the Conditions of Use Professional Sales via bol for an extended period. Violating the conditions of use can lead to the deduction of policy points, where a total of 0 points results in the closure of the seller account. Your seller account can also be closed if you sell under invalid data or if you are not actively selling on the platform for an extended period.

If your account is closed due to not meeting service standards, you will still have 6 weeks of access to your account. If your seller account is closed for any of the other reasons mentioned above, you will still have 8 weeks of access to the account. This allows you to, among other things, download your financial data, handle outstanding customer inquiries, and process return notifications. For your ongoing and delivered orders, the service standards and conditions remain applicable. You can still handle your customers' questions and return requests promptly and adequately.

Do you sell items via Logistics via bol?

Do you still have items in stock at bol's fulfilment center? Then you have 3 more weeks to have these items sent back to you via a request to Partnerservice.

Are you using Vvb services with pickup appointments?

Shipping via bol Complete (Vvb complete) is a subscription service. This means that you must manually disable this service in your account. If you fail to do this, the costs of this subscription will continue to be charged. Bol is not responsible for these costs.

Financial overview

After closing the seller account, you can only log in to view your financial overview.

Reopening or creating a new account

If your seller account is closed due to poor performance, it is not possible for the same person to create a new seller account for at least one year. This also applies if using a different company name or a different product range. If multiple seller accounts are closed due to poor performance, you can send a reopening request from the moment the last closed seller account has been closed for one year.

Is your seller account closed due to fraudulent activities or policy violation? Then the seller account will be closed indefinitely. This is often the case when the policy is deliberately violated. In that case, it will no longer be possible to open a new seller account, even under a different company or with a different product range. All other seller accounts under the Chamber of Commerce (KvK) and/or with other matching data will also be closed.
