Why refurbishment?

The cooling-off period is a legal right. This often leads to significant depreciation. By restoring items that have been barely used or opened to like-new condition, these items can be resold. This way, by making a small investment in the item, you retain (almost) the full value of the item, and it doesn't have to be sold to a liquidator for a small amount.

Additionally, you contribute to extending the lifespan of the item, making you environmentally conscious! Because the item lasts longer, the amount of unnecessary e-waste is reduced, and you contribute to improving the world. Good job!

There are also other legal obligations. Think of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Service Planet ensures certainty by documenting a professional data wipe with a report per device. The item is also tested, visually inspected, cleaned, and re-packaged.

The process

Registering items for refurbishment is very easy. However, it is necessary that you first receive a special account for Service Planet's registration portal.

  1. Log in with your account on our web portal.
  2. Create the CASE by completing 4 steps.
  3. Print the shipping label generated from the CASE, stick it on the outer box, and pack the item inside.

We aim to return the item within 5 working days after receipt. If we are unable to refurbish the item, we will ensure that the item is returned in the best possible condition, along with the reason why we could not restore it to like-new condition.
