A/B-test Lowest Price Guarantee label

As part of the Lowest Price Guarantee, bol compares the prices of items with the online competitors listed below.

If an item on bol is priced lower than, or equal to, the online competitors mentioned above, the item receives the Lowest Price Guarantee label.

If a customer finds the same item cheaper at a competitor (with whom we compare our prices as part of this Lowest Price Guarantee), the customer will receive a bol gift card from bol, valued at 150% of the price difference.

How to get a Lowest Price Guarantee label on your offer

If your item has the lowest price at the time of comparison, it can automatically receive the label. You do not need to register your offer to be eligible for the label. We automatically check which items meet the conditions for the Lowest Price Guarantee and grant the label, without you having to do anything.

This is currently an A/B test where a limited number of items can receive this label. Therefore, in this A/B test, it is possible that you have a lower price than the aforementioned competitors, but no label is assigned. Customers will see the label on the listing and item detail page.

If the experiment is successful, we might roll out the Lowest Price Guarantee more broadly at a later date.

bol pays for the gift card

To receive a gift card, the customer must prove that the same item was offered cheaper by an online competitor with whom we compare our prices as part of the Lowest Price Guarantee. If your item has the Lowest Price Guarantee label, and the customer still finds a better price elsewhere? This will not affect your profit. bol will give the customer the gift card.

Please note! If a customer wants to make a request or has a question regarding the Lowest Price Guarantee and contacts you as a partner, you can forward this customer query to bol customer service.

There are no costs associated with the Lowest Price Guarantee label. The label is visible on the listing and item detail page and remains visible during this A/B test as long as the offer meets the specified conditions.

How we compare prices

We compare the prices of offers on our platform with the prices of online competitors, with whom we compare our prices as part of the Lowest Price Guarantee, at least once a day. If, at the time of comparison, the price of the offer on bol is the lowest or equal to these competitors, we grant the Lowest Price Guarantee label.

When comparing the prices of items with the Lowest Price Guarantee label and an identical item, the following are not taken into account:

• Services or tools that reduce the price, such as gift cards, loyalty programs, coins, coupons, discount codes, vouchers, purchase in a set, and "cashback" type promotional campaigns
• Temporary promotional actions where the price depends on bundle constructions, such as, but not limited to, "buy one get one free", "second item half price", etc.
• Items purchased in physical stores
• Used (second-hand), non-original, damaged, display, outlet, and auction items
