Additional price rules for electric heaters and blankets

Toy cash register

High inflation and energy costs are making life increasingly expensive. Certain items from our product range, such as electric heaters and blankets, help our customers save on energy bills and are therefore very popular right now. As a result, we are seeing extreme price increases in these product categories. For this reason, we are implementing additional price rules. Here's what that means.

Protecting customers from excessive pricing

We want to protect our customers from excessive pricing. That's why stricter price rules apply to electric blankets and electric heaters starting March 1, 2023. This prevents extreme price increases (price increases higher than 40%) on these items. Increased purchasing costs and inflation have been taken into account, so the margin is ample.

Additional price rules

To objectively assess prices, we look at historical prices.

For electric heaters and electric blankets costing less than €100, the price may be a maximum of 40% higher than the item's price on July 1, 2022 (if known). For items that went on sale via our platform after July 1, 2022, we use the introductory price.

For electric heaters and electric blankets costing €100 or more, a maximum price increase of 35% applies compared to the item's price on July 1, 2022 (if known). If the item came to our platform after July 1, 2022, we use the introductory price.

See the table below.

The impact for excessively priced items

If your item is found to be excessively priced, you risk it being taken offline starting March 1.

You can prevent this risk by correcting your price now and keeping it within the set margin, if necessary.
