Changes to our policy point system

Deadline op 1 juni 2026
You see a plastic board with checkmarks like a checklist on a pedestal between a stack of pallets and boxes

Together with our partners, we continuously work on a reliable, high-quality platform. Based on your feedback, we've reviewed the policy points system. From 1 June, we'll be introducing a number of changes to make sure policy points are applied more fairly.

More focus on prevention

Partners told us they wanted more room for warnings. We've listened. Where possible, we'll now block unwanted items during the upload process itself. You'll receive an immediate notification when this happens. In most cases, we'll no longer deduct policy points straight away.

Should an unwanted item accidentally slip through our filter, we'll take it offline at a later stage. This way, we keep bol's assortment safe together, without it directly affecting your points balance.

For many other violations, the points deduction stays the same. In some cases it will be slightly stricter, for example for violations such as copyright infringement. We'll stay within the familiar limits of the policy points system.

The system stays familiar

The foundation of the policy points system isn't changing: you start with 100 points, and points are deducted per violation. Your current points balance stays as it is.

With these changes, we're reducing the pressure of policy points for you as a partner wherever possible, while continuing to maintain a reliable platform for our customers together.
