For example, your cosmetics product range must not contain any prohibited substances. This means that an item with a prohibited substance is not suitable for selling via our platform. The legislative amendment, which takes effect on December 1st, further tightens the list of prohibited substances for cosmetics.

Do your items still contain prohibited substances? If so, ensure these items are sold out before December 1st. From that moment on, it will only be permitted to sell items without prohibited substances in their ingredients. If you plan to sell new stock of the item, it is important to update the content. This way, you won't miss out on sales.

How do I check if my item contains a prohibited substance?

A good place to start getting information about your item is the item's manufacturer. They can provide you with more information about their items and the ingredients.

It is also possible to search for information yourself. All ingredients are always listed on the packaging of your cosmetic item. You can find the ingredients that will be prohibited on this page.

Step-by-step plan: How do I ensure my items comply with the law?

Are your items not yet compliant with the legislative amendment? Then follow these steps:

Find out which items in your product range still contain prohibited substances.
Contact the supplier(s) of your items and inform them that you only want to receive items without the prohibited substance(s).
Sell out your items with the prohibited substance(s) before December 1, 2023.
After selling out, check that there is no stock left of the old item.
Only after selling out the stock, update the content so that the ingredient information is current.
