New energy labels for tumble dryers
The European Union (EU) has introduced new, stricter energy labels for tumble dryers. The current labels A+++ to G will be replaced by labels A to G, and all tumble dryers (both older and new models) will be reclassified by the EU.
Who is responsible?
The manufacturer is responsible for providing these new energy labels for new tumble dryers, as well as replacement labels for older machines. Our partners are responsible for correctly entering the labels for the tumble dryers they have in stock. Additionally, we ask them to contact the manufacturer themselves if they need a new energy label for the machines in their stock.
After July 1st
From March 1, 2025, it will be mandatory to supply both the new and old energy labels with a tumble dryer. From July 1, only the new energy labels may be used for advertising. We will ensure that our partners can enter the new labels for their offer well in advance. If you advertise with the old energy labels after July 1, penalties in the form of fines will follow, and we will be forced to take your offer offline.
