Refurbished via bol: what's changing?

Since early 2025, you as a partner can offer Refurbished items via bol. After an instructive start-up phase, we are ready for the next step: we are leaving the pilot phase and expanding the program further. With this growth also come a number of policy updates that apply to you as a partner. Read below what is changing and what you can do.

Changes to the Refurbished policy

  • The number of available product categories has been significantly expanded and will continue to grow every month (link)
  • For some product categories (household appliances, hygiene items), additional conditions have been established (link)
  • There is no longer a limit for partners and/or product categories
  • We are adjusting our conditions. Instead of sales potential, we will now look at whether you are a proven market player. This way, we ensure a strong Refurbished offering on bol together. Do you already have Refurbished selling rights? Then you don't need to do anything.
  • Purchasing from outside the EU is no longer permitted for offering items as Refurbished.

Brand authorization

If you want to sell certain Refurbished brands (e.g., Apple, Samsung), you need 'brand authorization'. This way, we ensure that our offer remains fair and reliable.

You must apply for brand authorization. Once you provide the correct proof, you may offer these brands. This applies to the following brands:

  • Apple
  • Edifier
  • Fresh’n Rebel
  • Jabra
  • LG
  • Microsoft
  • Nintendo
  • Philips
  • Samsung
  • Sennheiser
  • Sony
  • Sony Playstation
  • TCL

What do I need to do?

Until July 31, 2026, you can sell Refurbished items on bol under the current expiring conditions.

 

Before then, we ask the following of you:

Read the additional conditions;

Send an email to sustainableassortment@bol.com confirming that you have read and comply with the conditions;

Apply for brand authorization for brands you want to sell (if you haven't already).
