Food and beverage category expands

As of October 4, the food and beverage category will be expanded with durable bulk packaging of foodstuffs. And that could offer sales opportunities for you!

Make sure your product range complies with the food and beverage policy, has a minimum shelf life of 100 days, and is registered with GS1 (GS1 Data Source for the Netherlands and GS1 My Product Manager for Belgium).

In addition to complying with the food and beverage policy, it is important for offering durable bulk packaging that:

The item characteristic 'Packaging level' is filled in.
The main image displays the item in bulk packaging. This way, it is clear to the customer that it is bulk packaging.
The official EAN is used (as registered with GS1), which belongs to the bulk packaging.
