Compensation Reduced for Lost Parcels with PostNL Shipping Labels
With shipping labels via bol, you can easily buy shipping labels from carriers PostNL and Bpost. Currently, items that are damaged or lost during outbound shipping using this method are often compensated by bol out of goodwill. For parcels sent with PostNL shipping labels (from the Netherlands to Belgium), the compensation amount will change from July 1, 2024.
What exactly is changing?
- The change to the compensation policy applies from July 1, 2024, for shipments sent from the Netherlands to Belgium using PostNL shipping labels.
- Previously, you received 75% of the item's sales value as compensation if a parcel went missing; from July onwards, this will be 25%.
Important to note:
Missing compensation since August 1, 2023, will be paid out retroactively.
Due to a system error, it appears that partners did not receive the original 75% compensation. From August 1, 2024, we will retroactively compensate partners 75% for lost parcels following the previous change on August 1, 2023. By then, the system error will also be resolved. If this applies to you, you will receive an email about it in May.
Update September 27, 2024
Unfortunately, we have not been able to fix the system error yet, and we are still working on it. Compensation will again be paid retroactively at the beginning of 2025.
