Service Framework
Customers find fast delivery very important. But even more important is that we deliver on our promises. We strive for this every day, but sometimes it's not possible. To still show customers a realistic delivery time, we use the Service Framework.
What is the Service Framework?
The Service Framework means that for some items, we temporarily extend the delivery time. This applies to items shipped via Shipping via bol. Customers will then see an adjusted delivery time. We always choose the shortest achievable delivery time.
For example:
- Without Service Framework: ordered before 23:59, delivered tomorrow.
- With a 1-day Service Framework: delivered by [date 2 days later] at the latest.
If the daily capacity is reached and the Service Framework is already in use, it can sometimes happen that we offer a Service Framework longer than 48 hours.
Please note a different drop-off time
It is possible that the drop off time changes when a Service Framework is activated. Always adhere to the indicated drop-off time in your seller account. This way, we can plan the capacity for Shipping via bol as effectively as possible.
When do we use the Service Framework?
We deploy the Service Framework when we are temporarily unable to deliver as quickly as usual. For example, during holidays, busy periods, or a system disruption. When we need to activate the Service Framework, it often means that the carrier network is very busy. If a Service Framework is active, you can choose to temporarily switch to your own shipping. Please note that the network you use for shipping is likely also delayed, and in that case, also provide a realistic delivery promise.
On-time delivery greatly influences customer satisfaction — and satisfied customers are our shared goal. This way, we prevent unnecessary questions and negative reviews, and ensure satisfied customers.
