Transfer seller account

On this page, you can read how to transfer your seller account.

As stated in our General Terms and Conditions, it is not possible to transfer your seller account to a third party. Company details can only be adjusted if the legal form of the company changes due to expansion, where the original owner remains involved as an owner of the new Chamber of Commerce registration. If this is not the case, we cannot process your Chamber of Commerce number change. You can then open a new seller account with the new company details.

To clarify the above, here are a few examples:

Example where a change is allowed:

  • From a sole proprietorship to a private limited company (BV)/general partnership (VOF) where the owner remains involved as an owner of the BV/VOF.

Examples where changes are not allowed:

  • All cases where no original owner remains involved with the new company. This is considered an acquisition and is not permitted.
  • From a BV to a VOF and from a BV/VOF to a sole proprietorship, because part of the company's liability is then removed.
  • From one BV to another BV, as this is considered a new company.
  • From one sole proprietorship to another sole proprietorship.
  • From one VOF to another VOF.

Good to know

If you have adjusted your Chamber of Commerce registration due to a company expansion, this change cannot be reversed.

Should it appear after verification that a change is in conflict with our conditions, the seller accounts to which the change was applied will be closed.
