Unwanted product range

Selling an unsuitable item
What is not allowed, for example
- Selling an item that is unsuitable for the bol platform. See this page for the current product range policy and some examples of unsuitable items;
- Refurbished items;
- Selling margin goods or second-hand items without permission;
- Selling an item without the correct sales rights;
- Selling items that do not fit into any product category.
- Selling a book above or below the fixed book price. See this page for more information about the Fixed Book Price Act.
Digital delivery or delivery without retail packaging
What is not allowed, for example
- Delivering software licenses digitally.
- Sending items without retail packaging.
Dangerous or harmful items
What is not allowed, for example
- Selling items that are demonstrably harmful to a customer or the environment.
- Selling items listed on the European Safety Gate list.
Bypassing the authorization process
What is not allowed, for example
- Intentionally placing items in the wrong category to bypass the authorization process.
Good to know: in case of a policy violation 'Unwanted product range', we only deduct the relevant number of points from the seller account that commits the violation. Any other seller accounts, linked to the same Chamber of Commerce number, retain their total points and do not receive a deduction in policy points.

Non-EU restrictions
In addition to the above, companies that are established outside the European Union are not allowed to sell
- gift cards
- excise goods, such as coffee, tea, and non-alcohol beverages
