On the bol platform, items priced over €2,500 cannot be sold in the following product categories:
- Vehicles & boats
- Art objects
- Antiques
- Gemstones
- Precious metals
- Jewellery
- Jewels
Setting this maximum amount for these product categories is an important step to protect the platform against financial crime and money laundering and to comply with the requirements of the WWFT Act (Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing (Prevention) Act). The WWFT aims to provide more insight into illegal money flows and to reduce and/or prevent the risk of money laundering and terrorist financing. The maximum amount ensures bol that transactions potentially falling under the WWFT are detected and reported.
