Teething rings
We have introduced this additional safety measure to guarantee the most reliable and safest possible range for our customers. Because of this, it’s no longer permitted to sell unbranded items within this product category. In order to be allowed to offer a brand, both the items and the relevant product information must comply with the brand guidelines. You can find more information about these guidelines on this page.
When do selling rights apply?
Naturally, we want customers who buy through bol to continue to do so - and so it is important to offer them a reliable and safe range together. Therefore, additional sales conditions apply to certain product groups and in some cases, there is a brand policy for selective distribution. Find out whether this also applies to your range on this page.
Is the brand you want to sell listed in the approved brands list below?
You do not need sales rights to sell this brand. This brand has already been checked and can be offered within this category.
Is the brand you want to sell not listed on this page?
If the brand you wish to sell within this product category is not listed above, you must first apply for sales rights. You may only offer the brand within this category after approval. Sales rights can only be applied for if the brand meets the following conditions:
- The EAN is registered in the name of the brand owner and with GS1.
- The brand is registered with BOIP (or EUIPO/WIPO).
- Your registration is valid in the Netherlands and Belgium.
- The brand is registered in the correct product class. Your brand must be registered for a product class lower than 35. Product classes 35 to 45 are only valid for services and not for goods. Therefore, ensure your brand is registered for the correct class, which must be lower than 35.
- The item must also be registered in this class with the correct goods.
- The brand name and/or brand logo is on the item and/or original packaging.
- The branded item complies with the NEN-EN 71-1, 71-2, 71-3, and 71-12 standards.
- The CE marking is present on the branded item.
- The content complies with the guidelines.
- Your brand must meet the above points from the moment the item is added to bol.
Enter the brand name in the designated field when entering the content. This must be done in text, even if the brand is registered exclusively as a figurative mark. It is not permitted to use a brand name that is not registered with BOIP. No rights can be derived from this.
How do I apply for sales rights?
To limit the application time for you as a partner, it is only necessary to provide information for two items per brand. Send the information below to productsafety@bol.com:
- A list of 2 items you want to offer, including the corresponding EANs. (jpg, jpeg, png, pdf, docx, xls, xlsx, no more than 1 document, with a maximum of 10 MB).
- Images of the 2 items. Ensure that the product packaging, CE marking, and EANs are clearly visible in the photos. (jpg, jpeg, png, pdf, docx, xls, xlsx, no more than 1 document, with a maximum of 10 MB).
- A web link to the brand's registration number in BOIP.
- Test report for the 2 items. Showing that the items comply with NEN-EN 71-1, 71-2, 71-3, and 71-12 standards.
- Declaration of conformity (Declaration of conformity).
